Sri Adi Shankaracharya Sharada LakshmiNarasimha Peetam, an ancient Dharmapeetam directly established by Jagadguru Sri Adi Shankaracharya, is situated at the Puranic Kshetra of Hariharapura in Chikmagalur District, Karnataka. Lord Sri LakshmiNarasimha Swamy and Goddess Sri Sharadambika are the chief deities of this Dharmapeetam, located at the holy banks of River Tunga. The Dharmapeetam boasts of an unbroken illustrious chain of Jagadgurus, right from the time of Sri Adi Shankaracharya.

With a rich history & heritage of more than 1000 years in practicing and propagating Sanatana Dharma, Sreemath Hariharapura has been illuminating the lives of people and the society at large, under the divine leadership of its Acharyas. Presently, Srimajjagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Swayamprakasha Sachidananda Saraswathi MahaSwamiji adorns this Peetam as the Peetadhipathi. MahaSwamiji reaches out to nooks and corners of the society and disseminates pristine Vedic knowledge in simple words understandable even to common man. Under the guidance of MahaSwamiji, Sreemath spearheads various projects and activities catering to the preservation and propagation of Sanatana Dharma in the today’s modern world.
